Michael Norman Fohring is a designer and maker, and a co-founder of the Toronto-based design studio ODAMI. Though trained in architecture, it's the space between it, art, and design that interests him most.

Whether it’s the creation of objects, furniture, installations, or interiors, the work attempts to speculate on how the various facets of design can be used to challenge common values, conventions, and expectations, and ultimately generate community. In pursuit of this, expression is given to matter and physical forces, emotional responses are toyed with, and the act of making is considered as a sensual and theatrical endeavour.

In addition to his practice, Michael is a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture.
